Jenna Fischer's most famous role is that of Pam Beesly in the highly popular TV show The Office. She received two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her stellar performance on an ensemble comedy.
Her mother, Anne, was a performer in church theater when she was young that instilled a love for theater and performances in Jenna. Jenna was attracted by her mother's church performances at the time she started her journey.
She is a trained actress who was back in theater following The Office. She starred in the Off-Broadway play Reasons to be Happy that was directed and written by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, as well as Fred Weller. The play was followed by her participation as the first woman to appear in Steve Martin's latest show Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking run on the Old Globe Theatre.
The Office actress Angela Kinsey, Fischer's real-life friend and co-star, debuted Office Ladies in October 2019 on Earwolf. The show became wildly successful, ranking in the Top Ten of the world every week. It had more than 200 million downloads in its initial two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year Award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life was her debut book that details the journey she took to get from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood which is where she discovered her calling as an actor professionally. Her second, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography of her most beloved friend and her experience in The Office.
