Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor, who gained notoriety as the character Buffy Summers. Her other roles include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the television film Nightingales and the short-lived NBC show of similar name, Erica Paget in Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. She was born in California and began her interest in acting when she was a young child. She began her career in the advertising industryappearing in numerous commercials. In 1984 she made her first appearance on screen in an episode of the sitcom on NBC called It's Your Move. The actress made her debut on the big screen two years laterin the 1986 romantic comedy Pretty in Pink. Famous for her blonde hair and breathless voiceSwan is now playing minor characters over the last few years. In 1989, she was honored with her Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in a Horror or Mystery Motion Picture for Flowers in the Attic.
