Anne Phung Nguyen

Hello, my name is Anne Phung Nguyen and I am an Vietnamese American entrepreneur residing in beautiful Orange County California with my amazing husband JP and happy go lucky Dad Henry. People often recognize me as @annephung on Instagram and I write about my journey - from the highs and lows. I came to America with my brother and parents in the year 1990. At one and a half years older. I wouldn't be now sharing my story with you if it weren't because my parents are devoted to determination and dedication. As a child, I knew that I could have a shot at a better future I aimed to impress them and had a clear vision for achievement. My life was set out: I would go to university, get a job in a corporation, marry and buy a home. This was my vision of what it would take to be successful. But life had other plans. The money and the status of my job did not make me happy. I was convinced that I had wasted my time for the opportunity to earn a salary. In 2013, I realized that my passion was exercising. I also liked socializing and being able to help other people. In the process of pursuing this direction change in my life, I started to find personal training. My small business was started in 2014 and I'm celebrating 7 years of success in 2021. As an Asian female working in the field, there are a few of us. In the coaching industry, I want to make a difference through providing high-quality training that will aid others to become more healthy and happy. Also, I want everyone to be able to achieve their goals and achieve anything they desire in life. While my professional life was taking off, I experienced the most devastating loss in my lifein the death of my mother. In Heaven she now rests following an eight-year fight against the disease known as Scleroderma. Yet, I keep her with me and think of her daily. Even if you can't see the signs at first, God is a way of offering us the things we need. There are many ways that my mom's death affected me in many ways. It is my belief that she offered me another chance to be a part of her story after she passed away. It was the Tet/Lunar New Year Day when she died. She had her chance to begin her new life as I was given the chance to lead a fulfilling and happy life. What I'm experiencing in my 30s is a feeling of aliveness and awareness. It's as if I'm truly living and not just existing. In sharing the tale of my experiences, it's in the hope that others will be able to understand my feelings and thoughts. It is to know that they are not alone. It is also a sign of real love. Additionally, therapy is necessary and not unusual. Finally that the health of your body is the most valuable thing you have. You have only one life. I hope you live it to the fullest.
