Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first gymnast to achieve a score of 10 in an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics teacher who later became the coach for Comaneci and first became aware of Comaneci at the age of six. The year 1969 was the first time she took part at the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. In 1970, she won the title. In 1972, in a meet of communist countries junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she was awarded three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974 she won the all-around junior champ. She won four gold and one silver medals in her debut competition as a senior, held in 1975. It was the first time she had competed as an adult. She became the first female to perform a reverse double salo on the bar with a parallel surface in the event she won American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she began her career in the entertainment business performing as a figure skater. Along with her twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th of September, 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol began her journey into the world of entertainment during her teenage years. As a young girl, she began performing as an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. These shows included the ice skating of which was followed by musical performances.
