Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974, Aviano Italy) American actress, most well-known for her critically-acclaimed performances of naive and charming characters. Adams is born in Italy while her father served in the U.S. military and she grew up within Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven kids. The actress began acting and dancing professionally in the mid-1990s with Boulder Dinner Theatre, and later at the Country Dinner Playhouse. After moving to Minnesota where she was a part of a mock-documentary film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) concerning beauty pageant contests. Leigh began her filming career following the signing of an MGM contract in the late 1940s. Her work was noticed through actress Norma Shearer. She starred as Norma in several popular films throughout the years, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho which was released in 1960 as well as Living It Up, a Martin and Lewis film released in 1954.
